We are looking for an engaged and experienced specialist physician in psychiatry for an exciting and versatile role within outpatient psychiatry in Region Dalarna.

The outpatient psychiatry in Dalarna has eight general psychiatric clinics (Falun, Borlänge, Mora, Ludvika, Avesta, Gagnef, Malung, and Rättvik) where we together care for approximately 10,000 patients. Our operations are based on high-quality care, close collaboration between our teams, and a person-centered approach. Well-being and shared commitment are the keys to our success.

Senior Physician, Psychiatric Clinic Avesta, Borlänge, Ludvika

Job Responsibilities

You will be clinically active at one of our clinics - you can choose between Avesta, Borlänge, or Ludvika, but you can also work with other clinics.

Remote work is an option, and we offer a flexible solution where a period of work is done on-site (e.g., one week on-site followed by three weeks remote), which can be adjusted by agreement.

In the role of senior physician, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with various psychiatric conditions. You will also participate in our multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective and coordinated care for each individual. We work with general psychiatry, but we also have specific tasks related to psychosis, addiction, affective issues, and neuropsychiatry. Your responsibilities also include assessing referrals, mentoring physician colleagues, investigations, and administrative work. Our goal is to offer good accessibility and continuity for our patients.

Our working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM with the possibility of flexible hours if the operations allow. Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed physician with Swedish specialist competence in psychiatry
• Computer proficiency is required. We work with the medical record system TakeCare, which will soon be replaced by Cosmic
• Language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale
• Experience working with various psychiatric conditions

Personal qualities:

You have good communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team, with the ability to build trusting relationships with patients and other staff members. You have the ability to work flexibly according to varying needs. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
